The Administrators of 2023 have launched the registration process to participate in the Festa Major dels Petits de Vilafranca, which this year offers a total of 350 places in the 16 balls represented there. Children also have the option of being part of the Falcons and the children's castle gangs for which there is no limit of places. In this case, it is necessary to contact each gang directly.

Priority will be given to participate in the Festa Major dels Petits to children registered in Vilafranca or whose father or mother or legal guardian is present. Girls and boys from other municipalities will be able to register once those from Vilafranca have done so and based on the result of the draw that will define the timetables.

Pre-registration and registration calendar

The pre-registration period will be from May 18 to 28. The procedure can be done online through the City Council's website and by registering in the Mobile IdCAT. People who have difficulties using the telematics channels can contact the Culture Service, at the Slaughterhouse, from Monday to Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m.

On May 30, at 8 p.m., at the Slaughterhouse, the letters that will define the registration times will be drawn in alphabetical order, so that each family will be assigned a time slot to register. The timetable can be consulted on the City Council's website and will be sent to families by email.

On the 1st and 2nd of June, between 5.30pm and 9pm, at the Slaughterhouse, registrations will be made. It will be necessary to prove that the pre-registration has been made (bringing the corresponding proof or providing the registration number), show a document that proves the child's age and present the completed and signed registration forms that can be downloaded from the City Council's website and will also be available at the time of registration.

If the dance chosen in the first option is full, another one will be offered at the same time of registration. Children who want to dance with the Dragon, the Giants and the Tadpoles must attend the registrations in person to check that they meet the required physical requirements.  

Participation criteria: ages, places and rehearsal calendar

To participate in the Festa Major dels Petits, it will be essential not to miss more than 25% of the dance rehearsals, whether or not the absences are justified, and to adhere to the minimum age and physical standards established in the grid that can consult the information leaflets available at the usual information points and which will be sent to all pupils from 1st to 6th primary school in Vilafranca.

This grid includes the minimum and maximum ages to participate in each dance (expressed with the school years corresponding to the year 2022-2023), the number of places offered, the rehearsal days per week, indicating the day that begin and that end. These criteria are determined by the Festa Major dancers who voluntarily organize the children's rehearsals during the months of July and August.
