James Mangold's upcoming Indiana Jones 5 will go against a wish that George Lucas set out when making Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It will be the final installment in the Indiana Jones franchise and the only one neither directed by Steven Spielberg nor with a story written by George Lucas. Instead, Indiana Jones 5 has been written by director James Mangold and his Ford v. Ferrari co-writers, Jez and John-Henry Butterworth.
