Rusia meluncurkan robot penghancur tank Abrams dan Leopard 2 sebagai respon Moskow atas keputusan Amerika Serikat dan negara-negara Eropa yang mengirimkan tank Abrams dan Leopard 2 ke Ukraina.

Mantan Direktur Jenderal Badan Antariksa Federal Rusia Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, mengatakan robot Marker buatan Rusia mampu menghantam tank Abrams buatan AS dan tank Leopard buatan Jerman.

Rogozin menjelaskan Marker memiliki katalog target dalam spektrum cahaya tampak dan inframerah, dan sistem akan membantu Marker untuk secara otomatis mendeteksi perangkat keras militer musuh.

“Misalnya, segera setelah pengiriman tank Abrams dan Leopard ke Ukraina dimulai, Marker akan dilengkapi dengan gambar elektronik yang cocok untuk mendeteksi dan menghancurkan tank AS dan Jerman dengan peluru kendali anti-tank.

Marker menurutnya juga bisa memprioritaskan target musuh saat berada di garis depan.

Mantan kepala Roscosmos mengatakan empat robot Marker akan dikirim ke wilayah Donbass pada Februari. Ia berharap Marker bisa segera beroperasi setelah melalui serangkaian uji coba.

Pernyataan Rogozin muncul setelah Menteri Pertahanan Jerman Boris Pistorius mengumumkan keputusan Berlin untuk mengirim 14 tank Leopard 2 ke Ukraina, yang diikuti oleh pengumuman Presiden AS Joe Biden bahwa Washington juga akan mengirim 31 tank Abrams ke Kiev.

Kedutaan Besar Rusia di Jerman memperingatkan bahwa keputusan (Berlin) yang berbahaya itu dapat mendorong konflik di Ukraina ke tingkat kebuntuan yang baru.
